About Planewave…
Born in 2006 out of a passion for precision design and advanced optical engineering, Planewave was founded by Richard Hedrick and Joseph Haberman both who were previously Celestron engineers. Richard carries 21 years of experience and, as one-time co-owner of Celestron, contributed heavily to their product development. Joseph was once master optician at Celestron and has 20 years of experience in the telescope engineering field.
Long before their departure from Celestron, it was their dream to put CDK observatory grade telescopes into the hands of the serious amateur astronomer. They have achieved this dream with Planewave Instruments. Their telescopes exhibit uncompromising quality at unparalleled value.
