Meade Instruments has been around for a long time (1972), and they are still developing and producing cutting edge, innovative products today…products that customers all around the world use and appreciate. From the first 8″ Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with a worm-gear drive (1980) to the breakthrough LX200 telescope in 1992, Meade kept pushing the envelope, and we owe them a tip of the hat for the boom of go-to, computerized “do everything” telescopes that are on the market today.
